The purpose of this website is to support the Local Authorities of Ireland by collecting information to assess whether customers are satisfied with how services are being delivered across all 31 Local Authorities.
Specifically, the Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) has been engaged by the RMO (Road Management Office - a Local Government Shared Service) to collect information to determine the level of satisfaction with the service provided by the RMO in the provision of Road Opening Licences.
The LGMA is a state agency that provides supports and services to local government. The RMO is the data controller and is responsible for managing the provision of Road Opening Licences. You can access the RMO website here.

Apart from the information you expressly volunteer through the website survey, the website also processes basic user information (your IP address, web browser version, pages visited). This is done only to prevent cyber-attacks against this website, and also to support our efforts to provide optimal user experience. It is our policy never to disclose such information in respect of individual website visitors to any third party obliged to disclose such information by a rule of law. The IP address is wiped from the cache within 24hours and is not stored.
Any personal information which you volunteer will be treated with the highest standards of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Acts, 1988 - 2018 and in the context of the Temporary Protection Directive (2001/55/EC) and Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/383 of 4 March 2022 (OJ No. L 71, 4.3.2022, p.1.). The data you volunteer will only be processed for the purposes you provided it - the lawful basis for processing your personal data is provided for by GDPR Article 6 (1)(a)
Any data you may volunteer will only be retained, in accordance with the National Retention Policy for Local Authority Records.
